ENGL 5535G - Children’s Literature (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 A study of literature written for or read by children with a focus on British and American classics. Students will read and write critical analyses of these works with special attention to the history of childhood. Authors studied may include the Brothers Grimm, Lewis Carroll, Louisa May Alcott, Mark Twain, Kenneth Grahame, Frances Hodgson Burnett, and others. Graduate students will be given an extra assignment determined by the instructor that undergraduates will not be required to do.
