Comparative Literature Minor

Minor Program Requirements: 15 Credit Hours


The minor in Comparative Literature requires 15 hours of coursework. Courses may come from prefixes such as ARAB, CHIN, COML, ENGL, FILM, FREN, GRMN, HIST, JAPN, PHIL, PSYC, SPAN, THEA, WGSS, or others related to Comparative Literature as approved by the Program Director or the Chair of the Department of World Languages and Cultures.

 
  • All courses must be at the 3000/4000/5000 level.
 
  • Three hours must have a COML prefix.
 
  • No more than six hours may have the same prefix, with the exception of the COML prefix. One course with the COML prefix may be used towards the minor in Arabic, Chinese, and Japanese.
 
  • No more than three hours may be in the prefix of the major concentration.

Advisement

Undergraduate Academic Advisement at Georgia Southern is provided to all degree-seeking undergraduate students by professional advisors. Academic Advisors are located on all three Georgia Southern University campuses. Students are required to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor at least once a semester.
