Spanish for the Professions Minor

The Spanish for the Professions Minor is a valuable addition to many majors. Students in any field of study -Anthropology, Art, Business, Criminal Justice, Education, English, Health Sciences, History, International Studies, ROTC, among others- should explore the option of this minor to enhance their language and cultural skill set and improve their prospects in the job market. Students interested in developing advanced levels of Spanish language proficiency and intercultural competence are encouraged to pursue instead the World Languages and Cultures, B.A. with a concentration in Spanish for the Professions. The World Languages and Cultures, B.A. can easily be added to any major as a double major or dual degree. Required Courses: 9 Credit Hours

FORL 3100 - Exploring World Languages and Cultures (3 Credit Hours)
6 credit hours of SPAN courses at or above the 2000 level.
No credit already used to fulfill a Core IMPACTS requirement except for the Field of Study can be used for the minor.
Credit earned for any SPAN 2000-level course as Credit by Proficiency Examination may count as coursework in the minor if not already used to fulfill a Core IMPACTS requirement except for the Field of Study.
