Graduate Program Approval and Educator Preparation Provider Accreditation


The College of Education offers graduate programs to prepare its students for work in public education, in community agencies, and in higher education. Programs are developed in collaboration with departments across the campus and with professionals in the field of education. Initial certification programs and graduate endorsements are approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.The Master of Arts in Teaching; M.Ed. and Certificate in Educational Leadership; M.Ed. and Certificates in Instructional Technology and School Library Media; and the M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in Accomplished Teaching are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC). The counselor education program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), and the school psychology program has National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) approval-full (national recognition). All programs are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
