ESED 8839 is the Capstone course in the Ed.S. in Teaching and Learning Program and should be taken in the final semester in the program of study. The course is designed to promote and facilitate the critical thinking skills of graduate candidates enrolled in an educational specialist program. Through course activities, candidates identify a significant problem of practice in their professional teaching field and develop a solution that addresses the problem directly. In addition, candidates are required to become critical consumers of the research and literature related to curriculum and instruction. As practitioner-scholars, graduate candidates gain insight into their learning community and apply this investigative insight to improve P-12 student learning outcomes. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of “B” in ESED 8130 and ESED 8132 . Restriction(s): NO Undergraduate Level Students Repeat Limit: Not Repeatable
