BIOL 5347G - Fisheries Biology (4 Credit Hours)

Examines the principles and practices of fisheries management and fish conservation, built on a foundation of biology, ecology, and fisheries science, with emphasis on freshwater North American species and environments. Laboratory emphasizes applied methods for collection, analysis, and interpretation of fisheries data. Field trips are required. Graduate students are expected to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the literature and discipline by completing additional research assignments involving synthesis, analysis, evaluation, and creation.
