An intensive study of the structure and function of proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, and biological membranes; enzyme mechanisms, regulation and thermodynamics as it relates to biomolecules. Graduate students will be given extra materials (additional text, primary literature, etc) that they will work with under guidance of the professor that will delve deeper into the course content.
