SPED 6130 - Introduction to Special Education (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Designed to examine the etiology, incidence, diagnosis, characteristics and philosophical and educational implications of the full range of students who demonstrate a need for additional educational services in order to achieve full potential. It is a prerequisite to Master’s level coursework in Special Education and meets the educational requirements mandated by H.B. 671. Candidates seeking certification must earn a “B” or better in this course.
