BIOL 5230G - Comparative Animal Physiology (4 Credit Hours) Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Lab Contact Hours: 3 A study of the physiology of animals within a comparative and integrative context. Selected topics include animal movement, circulation, respiration, osmoregulation, nervous and endocrine function and energetic metabolism. Laboratory will reinforce lecture content through inquiry-based activities. Graduate students will complete assignments beyond the scope of the undergraduate requirements. These assignments require higher-level mastery of the subject matter and additional deliverable representative of graduate-level work, as determined by the instructor.
