Art History Minor

The Art History minor will investigate and analyze visual styles, cultural movements, and social evidence over thousands of years to gain a greater understanding of art and its connections between different time periods and cultures. The Art History minor provides a general knowledge of the monuments and principal artists of all major art periods of the past, including a broad understanding of the art of the twentieth century and acquaintance with the art history of non-Western cultures. Through required courses and a wide range of electives, active research and the writing of analytical and critical essays are introduced using the tools and techniques of scholarship.

Advisement

Undergraduate Academic Advisement at Georgia Southern is provided to all degree-seeking undergraduate students by professional advisors.
