Studio Art Minor

The Studio Art minor provides the understanding of basic design principles, concepts, media, and formats in the various fine arts disciplines. Through required courses and a wide range of electives, studio experiences help to develop a working knowledge of various aesthetic issues, processes, and media and their relationship to the conceptualization, development, and completion of works of art. Studio minor course work includes some familiarity with the works and intentions of major artists/designers and movements of the past and the present, both in the Western and non-Western worlds.

*Must earn a minimum grade of “C” in all ART, ARTS and ARTH courses.

Advisement

Undergraduate Academic Advisement at Georgia Southern is provided to all degree-seeking undergraduate students by professional advisors. Academic Advisors are located on all three Georgia Southern University campuses. Students are required to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor at least once a semester.
