The Public Relations Program provides a foundation for public relations students for effective and ethically-sound communication practices. Students in the program are introduced to public relations history and contemporary practices, and these concepts are reinforced through courses that allow them to practice research, strategic communication, and campaign planning, especially within the context of a collaborative and inclusive environment. These foundations prepare students for responsible, strategic decision-making represented in senior-level and capstone courses.

Other Program Information

Students must make a minimum grade of “C” in each Communication Arts class to receive credit hour for that course.
Students wishing to also double major or minor in Multimedia Journalism (MMJ) must consult with their advisor regarding additional course requirements.

Undergraduate Academic Advisement at Georgia Southern is provided to all degree-seeking undergraduate students by professional advisors.
