The Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) degree is a 124-credit hour program delivered entirely online as an eMajor degree through a partnership between Georgia Southern University and the University System of Georgia’s (USG) eCampus. As one of the state’s premiere institutions for engineering and computing, the BIT Online at Georgia Southern is uniquely positioned to produce graduates with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to meet the demands of today’s employers.

Classes in the BIT Online are offered entirely online in an asynchronous format, meaning students are not required to log in for assigned class times. Work can be completed on lunch breaks, on the weekends, or any time that fits around work and family commitments. The convenience of online delivery plus the long-standing reputation of Georgia Southern University make the BIT Online the ideal choice for anyone looking to advance within an already established career in the IT industry or to break into this growing field on the ground level.
