Mathematics & Quantitative Skill:

 - Must take MATH 1113 Precalculus or higher

Technology, Mathematics & Sciences:

MATH 1441 Calculus I recommended for some professional and/or graduate school admissions.

Additional Requirements: 4 Credit Hours


Courses Appropriate to Major (Field of Study): 18 Credit Hours


Major Electives: 15 Credit Hours


Please choose 15 hours from the following list:

  • Must include at least one 4 credit hour lab course 
  • No more than 4 credit hours of undergraduate research (BCHM 3900 Biochemical Research, BIOL 4890 Research, and/or CHEM 4900 Research)
  • No more than 6 credit hours of health and society course prefixes (HSCC, HSCG, HSCP, SOCI, or PUBH).

General Electives: 6 Credit Hours


Foreign Language recommended. Students strongly advised to consider admission requirements of any post-graduate programs they plan to apply to for necessary coursework.

Advisement

Undergraduate Academic Advisement at Georgia Southern is provided to all degree-seeking undergraduate students by professional advisors. Academic Advisors are located on all three Georgia Southern University campuses. Students are required to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor at least once a semester.
