Writing Minor

The Writing minor offers students extensive writing practice in a range of genres and media. You’ll take courses from across the discipline, including creative writing, technical and professional writing, and rhetoric and composition. Clear, thoughtful, and innovative writing broadens your career options. This minor is a great choice to enhance your chosen major and give you confidence in your ability to persuade others, solve problems, and express yourself. Coursework toward the Writing minor may be taken on-campus or online.

Course Requirements Credit Hours: 15


Select 15 hours of writing or linguistics focused ENGL courses from the list below; at least 9 hours must be at the 3000-level or above.

Advisement


Undergraduate Academic Advisement at Georgia Southern is provided to all degree-seeking undergraduate students by professional advisors. Academic Advisors are located on all three Georgia Southern University campuses. Students are required to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor at least once a semester.
