Actuarial Sciences Minor

This program offers students the educational experiences that pertain to the field of actuarial sciences as set by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). The purpose of this program is to prepare students for the Probability (Exam P or Exam 1) and Financial Mathematics (Exam FM or Exam 2) exams and to provide one of the educational experiences listed by the Validation of Educational Experience (VEE) Requirements to become an actuary.  Note that the Society of Actuaries will not give VEE credit unless courses are passed with a B or higher.

Advisement

Undergraduate Academic Advisement at Georgia Southern is provided to all degree-seeking undergraduate students by professional advisors. Academic Advisors are located on all three Georgia Southern University campuses. Students are required to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor at least once a semester.
