Georgia Southern’s Civil Engineering and Construction Department offers a comprehensive program of Construction Management taught by highly qualified faculty. This well-establish program includes a highly developed knowledge base and skill set in order for the student to deal with modern construction processes. The program also includes a business course regiment to support timely and successful business operations required in construction.

Careers - The Bachelor of Science in Construction degree program prepares individuals to be leaders in the construction industry. Construction managers facilitate project design and construction by managing resources, facilitating the compliance of construction contract law and facilitating dispute resolution, ensuring the appropriate application of safety standards, and by performing accurate estimating and scheduling.

Construction Management program is accredited by the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE) since 1995.

Degree Requirements: 129 Credit Hours

1 NOTE: TCM 3890  and TCM 4090  are reserved for special circumstances, as approved by the student’s academic advisor, and may be used in place of other required courses to satisfy the requirements of the major.

Other Program Requirements

  • At least 100 hours of Departmental pre-approved community service must be completed prior to graduation clearance.
  • A minimum grade of “C” is required in all TCM and PHYS courses.

Advisement

Undergraduate Academic Advisement at Georgia Southern is provided to all degree-seeking undergraduate students by professional advisors. Academic Advisors are located on all three Georgia Southern University campuses. Students are required to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor at least once a semester.
