Entertainment Industry Professions Minor

Location(s): Statesboro, Armstrong-Savannah, Fully Online


The minor in Entertainment Industry Professions participates in the Georgia Film Consortium, a collaborative of the University System of Georgia and Technical College of Georgia, to offer professional coursework in film, television, and digital entertainment.

Minor Program Requirements


Film & Television Production Sequence: 18 Credit Hours


This sequence consists of face-to-face instruction for THREE (3) 6-hour courses at one of the GFA hubs in the state of Georgia and/or on film or television sets in the state, in the case of the apprenticeship. Students may take the courses at any GFA hub they can access, if there are seats available.

Film & Television Post-Production Sequence: 18 Credit Hours


This sequence consists of primarily synchronous online learning with the exception of the application-only apprenticeship – for THREE (3) 6-hour courses. Students must check technology requirements for courses to ensure they are equipped to participate.

Advisement

Undergraduate Academic Advisement at Georgia Southern is provided to all degree-seeking undergraduate students by professional advisors. Academic Advisors are located on all three Georgia Southern University campuses. Students are required to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor at least once a semester.
