PUBH 3330 - Modifying Health Behaviors (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 This course examines the major theoretical models used in public health practice for modifying health behavior. The efficacy of interventions in relation to current practices in public health, best practices and applications of theory-driven health behavior change are studied within the context of community-based settings. The focus of the class is to identify the critical factors necessary to create health behavior change in order to address the current Healthy People goals and objectives.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of “C” in PUBH 2131 .
