PUBH 3215 - Statistical Concepts in Epidemiology (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Statistical Concepts in Epidemiology provides an introduction to biostatistics concepts and reasoning in epidemiologic studies. This course represents an introduction to the field and provides a survey of data and data types. Specific topics include tools for describing central tendency and variability in data; methods for performing inference on population means and proportions via sample data; statistical hypothesis testing and its application to group comparisons; and issues of power and sample size in study designs.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of “C” in PUBH 2135 and PUBH 3231 .
