MENG 3233 - Heat Transfer (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 The basic principles and equation of heat transfer are presented. Steady and transient conduction, forced and natural convection, thermal radiation, and simultaneous heat transfer mechanisms are examined. Physical arguments are emphasized to develop an intuitive understanding of heat transfer mechanisms. Real-world engineering applications are presented and analyzed.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of “C” in ENGR 3431 and ENGR 3235 or permission of instructor.
