MATH 5251G - Combinatorics (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Counting principles such as permutations, combinations, derangements, pigeonhole, and inclusion/exclusion; partitions; generating functions; recurrence relations; applications from graph theory and applied algebra. Graduate students will complete assignments beyond the scope of the undergraduate requirements. These assignments require higher-level mastery of the subject matter and additional deliverables representative of graduate-level work, as determined by the instructor.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of “C” in MATH 2332 . Cross Listing(s): MATH 5251 . Restriction(s): NO Undergraduate Level Students
