HIST 5533G - Economic Rivals: U.S.-UK-Japan (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Hours: 1-2 Lab Hours: 12-30 Contrasts the historical development of business and industrialization in the U.S., Great Britain, and Japan from preindustrial times to the present, emphasizing how culture, religion, economics, and politics have shaped business growth, practice, and international trade, creating rival capitalists. Graduate students will be required to complete additional assignments beyond the scope of the undergraduate requirements that demonstrate a level of mastery of the subject matter appropriate to graduate level work, as determined by the instructor.
