HIST 2500 - Explorations in History (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 This course offers non-history majors the opportunity to explore a range of historical subjects including, but not limited to, the World Wars, the Middle East, the Holocaust, Slavery, The Vietnam War, The Middle Ages, and the American Civil War. Students will be exposed to a variety of historical interpretations and debates while developing increased historical consciousness and perspective on eras and events that have shaped the world in which they live. Whereas upper-division History courses are generally writing intensive and require the completion of a major research paper, HIST 2500 is offered in a lecture format and requires no major research project.
