Modern engineering software tools necessary for engineering practice are introduced. Programming in MATLAB and engineering analysis in Excel are presented. The following topics are introduced: arrays, functions, relational and logical operators, conditional statements, loop structures, and plotting. The examples and problems deal with engineering applications and are drawn from a variety of engineering fields.
Prerequisite(s): Prior or concurrent enrollment in MATH 1112 or MATH 1113 or MATH 1441 .
