Provides an in-depth review of victimology through examination of empirical research and policies relaying information on theoretical perspectives, the diversity of victimization experiences, as well as governmental and non-governmental responses to victimization. Specific attention is placed on experiences of victims with law enforcement, courts, corrections, and victim service agencies and organizations.
