CHEM 3501 - Chemical Kinetics and Thermodynamics (4 Credit Hours) Lecture Hours: 0,3 Lab Hours: 0,3 A survey of chemical kinetics and thermodynamics. Covers the kinetic theory of gases, rates of reaction, integrated rates, rate laws and reaction mechanisms, followed by a development of the three laws of thermodynamics, chemical and phase equilibria and solution thermodynamics. Students may not receive credit for both CHEM 3501 Chemical Kinetics and Thermodynamics and BCHM 3510 Biophysical Chemistry .
Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of “C” in CHEM 2100 and MATH 2242 and PHYS 2211K . Cross Listing(s): BCHM 3510 .
