BUSA 3131 - Foundations of Business Analytics I (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 This introductory course covers basic concepts and techniques of business statistics including descriptive statistics, probability & probability distributions, and statistical inference. Emphasis will be on the interpretation of statistical analysis and how these techniques apply to and can be used in cross-disciplinary business analytics applications. Students Will learn problem solving using both traditional methods and computer-base analytical tools such as Excel. Real business data and examples will be used whenever possible.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of “C” in CISM 2530 and MATH 1232 or MATH 1112 or MATH 1113 or MATH 1441 or a minimum grade of “B” in MATH 1111 .
