USGG 3015 - History of Computing and Security (0 Credit Hours) The class is the study of the history of computing and information security and the role of computing in society. The course will allow students to learn the history, present practices, and future trends found in computing and security. It has planned excursions to various historical and modern institutions and organizations that study and use IT and security related computing systems. Thematic approaches include: Green Computing, Business Uses of Information Systems, Social Impact of Computing, and the History of Computer Science.
