Supply Chain Management (Emphasis in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation)
Logistics and Intermodal Transportation (LIT) is a program of study that focuses on the intelligent movements of cargo in shipping containers or trailers by more than one mode of transportation. Leveraging the University’s proximity to the Port of Savannah and Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, LIT courses begin with fundamental transportation and supply chain concepts and principles, and build into the advanced study of logistics operations, international logistics, and intermodal distribution management. LIT coursework and internships, which are widely available, prepare students for career success in this challenging and rapidly expanding field.
Supply Chain Management (Emphasis in Operations and Supply Management)
The OSM program of study prepares students for a variety of positions in both manufacturing and service supply chains. A degree with emphasis in Operations and Supply Management instills students with knowledge of sourcing and operations management along with skills to analyze supply chain scenarios. Courses seek to develop critical thinking skills and opportunities to apply these skills in operations strategy, demand and supply planning, service operations, six sigma and continuous improvement, strategic sourcing and negotiations, inventory management, global supply networks, and supply chain analytics. Students are also encouraged to pursue internships as part of their studies.
