Additional Requirements: Credit Hours: 4

Select 9-12 credit hours from the following:

Major Requirements

Fundamental Knowledge Credit Hours: 15

Select 5 courses from at least 4 different topic areas to total at least 15 hours

Major Capstone Credit Hours: 3

Major Elective Credit Hours: 3

  • Select any 3 hours of upper division PSYC courses (3000 or above) not already taken

Free Electives Credit Hours: 29

  • At least 8 hours must be upper division (3000 or above)

Total Credit Hours: 124

1 If PSYC 1101 Introduction to Psychology  is taken to satisfy Area E of Core Requirements, select 12 hours of courses from the list in Area F.

Program Progression Requirements

Students must earn a minimum grade of “C” in all required PSYC and Related Field courses, as well as all prerequisite courses before enrolling in the advanced courses.

Honors in Psychology

To graduate with honors in Psychology, a student must:

  • be admitted to the Honors College
  • successfully complete the honors courses sequence (see advisor for details)
  • complete and present an Honors Thesis
  • be in good standing in the Honors College at the time of graduation
