SONO 3002L - Sono Prin, Theo, & Phys II Lab (2 Credit Hours) Lab Contact Hours: 4 This course is the lab component of SONO 3002. Students will be required to perform scan exams under the direct supervision of a lab instructor. Lab demonstrations will assist in developing intermediate-level scanning techniques and skills related to theoretical concepts and correlating sonographic physics principles and instrumentation to prepare for the role of a diagnostic medical sonographer. Scan exams include procedures and standards of practice related to the extended concentration of the adult abdomen, pediatric abdomen, and an introduction to gynecological, and obstetrical organs and structures.
Prerequisite(s): A “C” or better in SONO 3001 and SONO 3001L . Corequisite(s): SONO 3002 . Restriction(s): Degree, Field of Study Repeat Limit: Repeat Once When Offered: Once a year
