SONO 3002 - Sonographic Principles, Theory, and Physics II (3 Credit Hours) Lecture Contact Hours: 3 This course is a continuation of Sonographic Principles, Theory, and Physics I. It includes a discussion of sonography specialty areas. At the intermediate level, scanning techniques and skills related to theoretical concepts and correlating sonographic physics principles and instrumentation to prepare for the role of a diagnostic medical sonographer. Scan exams include procedures and standards of practice related to the extended concentration of the adult and pediatric abdomen, and an introduction to gynecological, and obstetrical organs and structures.
